Hi Folks,

I am currently writing a Transact/ix program that does the following:

1) Asks the user for his id and pin (then does security check)
2) Reads a barcode id from a message file (message file is updated from
another process that reads input from six scanners and adds to message file)
3) Using the barcode id the program performs functions on the data base
4) Goes to step 2.

The problem occurs when I want to go to step 1 (new operator) but the
program is waiting on input from the message file.

I know I can use the iodontwait but the just looping around will just use up
CPU and I am going to have six of these programs running (one for each
station).

Anybody try anything like this before? Any ideas?
