This is actually an MPE/iX question disguised as a Reflection question, re
host-controlled Reflection file transfer to client:
"old" method: Run a program which will 1) cause R1 to issue a 'receive'
command, 2) CREATE a process to RUN PCLINK2.PUB.SYS (invoked by R1 when at
the CI).
Thanks to various postings on this list I have a set of command files which
build poor-man's 'list boxes' by invoking Notepad vs various downloaded
files. The command files (separately or grouped) work just fine at the CI
prompt, but of course I want my menu driver to invoke them; by the time R1
comes back with its RUN PCLINK, my pgm is already waiting for the next menu
selection.
Well, invoking them works fine via HPCICOMMAND, but the file transfer
chokes, as there's no CI there to receive and process the RUN PCLINK2
command.
Is there a way, such as invoking an extra copy of the CI (effectively a
createprocess, no?) that I can do this without writing the 'trick' program?
The command files are wonderfully simple and I'd love to keep em that way.
