As posted yesterday, PTI is looking for an ORACLE DBA to work on a one year
project in the Pacific Northwest. This involvess supporting the IT staff of
a major, international high-tech organization. PTI has been working with
this organization and this will be our third person on site.

The technical environment is ORACLE 7.3 moving to 8.n. The client runs
ORACLE on HP9000 servers. The DBA needs to have navigation and scripting
skills under HPUX. Specific DBA skills required are:

        Oracle technical support including installation and     maintenance of RDMS
and third party support software,       database tuning, backup-recovery and
capacity planning.

        Ensuring database security for applications in  development

        Performing database design and development tasks        specifically using
modeling tools and manual processes     to generate data definition language
and implementing        this on development and production machines.

        Implementing application databases in a production      environment.

        Troubleshooting and consulting on specific ORACLE       database capabilities
and functionality to support    application development efforts.

        Consult with AES support desk on day-to-day support     issues (eg tablespace
monitoring and maintenance, user        maintenance, rdms, instance monitoring, etc)
