No, the sender's address was the same. What was different was the
attachment. For some reason if I send a plain text email then the
list bounces it. If I add an attachment, of any type even if it is
completely empty, then the message gets through.
Respecting my current situation; I have the main system up and
running. I keep a spare HP3000-LX configured exactly like the main,
running. I shut that one down, replaced the dud HDD on main with the
equivalent HDD from spare, and restarted the system. I then restored
the directories from our most recent full backup, and THEN streamed
BULDJOB and BULDJOB2. These two are updated in the same job that
produces the CSLT.
Now I have a different problem. But it affects only on the spare
system. I replaced the missing drive with a spare HDD and performed an
ISL> INSTALL using the latest CSL. Did the START NORECOVERY. Did the
'RESTORE *TAPE; ; directory' from the most recent full backup. Now I
have a situation with the other two drives on the standby system.
because of this I have not proceeded to 'RESTORE
*TAPE;/;CREATE;KEEP;OLDDATE' from the full backup.
We have our data and applications on a user_volume_set which occupies
all of LDEV2. And on the standby HP3000 this LDEV reports as being
unavailable when rebooting the system with START NORECOVERY. And
LDEV3, our online backup store in its own user_volume_set, shows
available but does not mount. We keep getting AVR messages on the
console:
CANNOT MOUNT VOLUME ON LDEV 3 Status=DD6100F2,# 55 (AVR 4)
I have checked the connections of the data and power cables and I do
not know how to proceed at this point. Do I pull that drive and
replace it. Or is the non-availability an indication that I have
missed somE vital step? Do I need to recreate the user volume sets
with VOLUTIL?
DSTAT ALL on the main system shows this:
LDEV-TYPE STATUS VOLUME VOLUME SET - GEN
---------- ------- ----------------------------------
1-ST318417N MASTER MEMBER1 MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET-0
2-ST318417N MASTER MIDATA00 HAL_DATA-0
3-ST318417N MASTER MEMBER1 HAL_BKUP-0
DSTAT ALL on the standby system shows this:
LDEV-TYPE STATUS VOLUME VOLUME SET - GEN
---------- ------- ----------------------------------
1-ST318417N MASTER MEMBER1 MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET-0
I have spare drives so swapping in another for LDEV2 is not a great
problem. But if this means something else I would like to know what.
And how to fix it.
Regards,
