drive that is in the 2-4 Gig range. On the mother board is an Adaptec
2740 controller that supports SCSI-II.
Any non-HP solutions out there that work? In PC Today magazine I
found:
VENDOR #MEGS MODEL# msec PRICE Meg/sec
======= ===== ====== ==== ===== =======
Seagate 2.1 32151N 7.0 $469.
Quantum 2.16 FB2.1S 10.0 $399.
Quantum 3.26 FB3.2S 9.0 $499.
HP's prices were as follows:
VENDOR #MEGS MODEL# msec PRICE Meg/sec
======= ===== ====== ==== ===== =======
HP Surestore 2.x D2077A 10.4 $819. 10
HP Surestore 4.x D4956A 8.5 1,300. 40 (SCSI-II F/WIDE ULTRA)
I am looking for a refurbished motherboard replacement also(a new
HP Pentium 133 motherboard, HP part #D3601A, was $1,629).
Any help with the above, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I just bought and installed an IBM DORS 2.1 gb drive SCSI-II. It cost me
$365 at a reseller here in town. I am sre you can do at least as good. It
should work in the LC with no problems.
There are several mail-order companies which will sell you refurb
motherboards. HP uses a standard Intel motherboard, so it should be no
problem. I recommend ASUS motherboard. I got one when I built my NT server
(133mhz Triton Chipset) for about $250 a few months back. Make sure you have
256kb L2 cache. You can get new MBs with USB support and such, but it will
cost you a lot more.
If you need more info (such as addresses and phone numbers), e-mail me
directly.
Kind regards,
Denys. . .
