MPEX "Identify" problem

Had MPEX quite a while.. Just tried to use %IDENTIFY on the system, and
it bombs:

%identify abc,info here
NONEXISTENT PERMANENT FILE  (FSERR 52)
Error: Doing Fopen of ID.DATA.VESOFT.

Same error if I try a %LISTF @,ID

Anyone know how I can create (and do the initial load?) of the ID.DATA
file?

(Tried emailing VESoft support the other day but haven't heard back from
them yet)
