Nick,
the spooler is getting you ;>) it is inserting a CR LF for
you.
 
Laser files are straight stream data.  you need to write a 8
or 10 line program that fread's the source file and fwrites to the
printer.  in the carriage control paramater for the fwrite specify
the number for "NO CARRIAGE RETURN NO LINE FEED.  NEXT PRINTING
PHYSICALLY FOLLOWS THIS."
 
sorry i can't give you the Car.Directive num, as my cdrom is on
the blink and it's my only source, at this location, to MPE manuals.
 
look in the intrinsics manual under fwrite, and there is a list of
the nums there.
