Usually amoung the most popular places to eat for conventioners is The
Pantry http://www.larestaurant.com/OriginalPantry/OriginalPantry.htm.
(Incidentally, it's owned by L.A.'s previous Mayor, Riordan.) Their emphasis
is on big portions and red meat. It's the only place I know where breakfast
have to be served on three plates! It is open 24 hours a day (they don't
even have locks on the doors) and is only a short walk from the convention
center.

On the other hand, downtown L.A. has more than its fair share of good food
of all types. Moreover, if you don't mind driving for 10 minutes, it gets
even better. Choices include just about anything you can name including
Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, California Cuzine, German, Armenian, Italian,
Korean just to name a few. The Chinese resturants in Monterey Park and
vacinity just may be the best in the United States.
