What do you mean by an "update tape", and what do you mean when you say it
"crashed"? If you were updating the OS and it "crashed" somehow, you
probably have a bigger problem than just restoring files. The System
Software Maintenance Manual knows all - but then you apparently were not
following it Friday night since you do not mention creating an SLT and you
apparently did not delete spool files as it would have instructed.

While it would be possible for the backup vendors, including HP, to create
such an option, I'm not aware that any has. Your only "automatic" way would
be to do an install from your latest SLT (verify it is good first) and then
a restore - very painful process to remove a few extra files.

Gee, I hope there is a mistake somewhere in the above since it should be
impossible to have two spoolfiles reported with the same ID. The second one
in your list (the one "restored") should have a new and different ID.
Actually, this is one of the nice features of MPE/iX, that a "store" of
@[log in to unmask]@ does in fact restore all spoolfiles.

Correct.

Nope.
