The way we provided SLIP/PPP via phone lines to our home PCs
was by a combination software/hardware solution.
Software :  SLIP via  WRQ Connect/3000
         or PPP  via  Windows/95
Hardware :  Livingston Portmaster attached to our LAN.
We attached our office modems to the portmaster instead of
to the hp3000s DTC. For more details check out the article
