Chicken!!! UNIX gurus edit their sendmail.cf <http://sendmail.cf> files 
directly using the "cat" command! :)

There is only one entry dealing with smart hosts, and that's the DS entry. 
That is one is pretty safe to edit manually. Of course, copy your current 
sendmail.cf <http://sendmail.cf> as a fallback, then just edit the DS entry 
in sendmail.cf <http://sendmail.cf>.
