To provide a somewhat more correct picture, MPE _does_ offer such a
facility called HAFO (High Availability FailOver), IIRC since 6.5
Express 2.

It is true however that support of this is _currently_ limited to
direct F&W SCSI connected XP256 disk arrays only.  So it is not
supported (and AFAIK also does not work!) on any other (dual ported)
disk array product (which includes the array this thread is about).
