Jeff suggested...

A nice "side effect" of this approach is that the JINETD job
file does not have to be modified, which can be quite helpful
for future patch installations...

When JINETD is customized, Patch/iX might disqualify INETD
related patches because it does not want to replace an "unknown"
file version by installing the patch. This can be handled quite
easily, by exploring why Patch/iX fails to qualify a patch and
then forcing the patch, if appropriate (i.e. if the qualification
only failed because of the customized JINETD file).

However, such manual steps are not needed with Jeff's solution.

Lars.
