syntactically, yes it's correct. it's an easy way to open all your print queues
in one swell foop :-) imo, to answer connie's question -- this is a good thing
to do because it doesn't matter how the systems printer configuration changes.
if you have a printer (by ldev or devname or devclass) that you *don't* want to
be able to print, it would be relatively easy to do:
openq @
shutq dev=999
it's a managing by exception notion.
to answer connie's question even more....openq is *not* a valid sysstart command
(nor is shutq). you'd want openq in something like the operator's logon udc or
an initial startup (or is that 'start up' :-) job. - d
