to have a high infant mortality, but if the pass 30 days, they're
probably ok.  The main problem with them is heat.  Make sure they are
installed with a minimum of 1 inch space between disks (I personally do
2") with GOOD air flow from a fan, if not 2 fans.
 
I actually install the disks and then test the temp with a volt meter.
If the air flow is good, they'll run at 75F (the surrounding temp is
70F).  If not, more like 90F or greater.  Seagate states in the specs not
to run them over 120F (I think, but check).  I wouldn't run them over 90
for a long period of time because they may handle it, but the disk will
just fail that much sooner.
