Prelims - I am running a 987, just went to 6.0 last weekend, all the most recent patchs (I thin at PP2). We do our full dumps to a DLT drive.

Friday night the operators start the full dump. When they come in on Saturday morning they start a VSTORE on the full dump. Saturday night we start another full dump. The second dump is not validated.

On the Friday night dump, we got a slew of errors on the /usr files that read "VSTORE received error -35 from the IO system (S/R 1555)"

I called the RC and found that we were the second site to call this in and there is an S/R (8606252865) on this problem. The fix is to exclude the /usr files from the VSTORE. They noted that the /usr files have been successfully restored from the tape even though they don't validate.

My question is, since I don't work with the HFS file set, how do I exclude the /usr file set from my VSTORE job.

The job reads in part:
!FILE STORTAPE;DEV=25
! TELLOP**PLEASE USE DLT TAPE DRIVE # 25
!FILE SYSLIST=$STDLIST;ENV=LP4.HPENV.SYS
!VSTORE ;@[log in to unmask]@;ONERR=QUIT;SHOW=LONG,DATES

Obviously, I change the last line, but what how do I indicate the exclusion?

thx
steve
