Spring ahead!!!

It's that time again. The downside is that we lose an hour of sleep. The
upside is that summer is coming (unless you prefer skiing). As we know the
base MPE operating system is not smart enough to adjust itself for daylight
savings time. If you stream the following job scheduled for 2:00AM Sunday
Morning, your system clocks will adjust to DST.

!JOB JDSTSET,MANAGER.SYS;HIPRI
!SETCLOCK CORRECTION=+3600
!EOJ

:STREAM JDSTSET;AT=2:00;DAY=SUN

If you are setting the tz variable, you can find the correct value in
TZTAB.LIB.SYS and set it in the SYSTEM LOGON UDC, e.g., for NYC: SETVAR TZ
'EST5EDT'
TZ = EST5EDT
The value is adjusted automatically for Standard and Savings time, but your
GMT must be set correctly.

                just move to Indiana (except Gary/EC area). We don't mess
with any time
                change........  :-)
