Leonard,
We had a similar problem. We eliminated it by detaching the
Omnidex indices from the XM. You can do this by logging on as the
creator in the database group and running DBINSTAL.PUB.<Omnidex
account>. Answer the data base prompt and then enter
SET TPI NOXM. This will detach the indices from the transaction
manager. I have some additional information from the response center if
you would like. Email me and I will send it along.

Subject: STALLED TRANSACTION again
We are attempting to add nearly 1.8 millions records to a TI dataset.
Suprtool is the means. After 95% of the file is processed:
95% In=1698720 Out=1698720 Delta-Min=9:01. Wall-Min=177:58.
Cpu-Sec=7099.
**** STALLED TRANSACTION: EXCEEDED ACCUMULATED LOG DATA THRESHOLD
Originally, the VOLUTIL checkptstat was disabled. We changed it to
enabled
with the same result.
This dataset does have an Omnidex MDK index (Multi-Dimensional Keyword,
for
the uniformed; I know this only because I have a little sticky note on
my
wall <grin>)
We are going to try this with NOXM for Omnidex. This is a solution we
regularly used before our 6.5 upgrade that we expected to eliminate the
problem.
Any suggestions?
