Bev,
Try something like the following:
MPEiX:> showproc job=@ > $newpass
MPEiX:> /bin/grep "-i PARM" < $oldpass
C152 0:07.582 WAIT S8030 1465 :RUN mpex.pub.vesoft;parm=1
D202 0:00.184 WAIT J18 328 :RUN PRTPASS;PARM=%030000
D202 0:00.244 WAIT J1570 1008 :RUN EDI100;PARM=%100000
D202 0:00.191 WAIT J1571 800 :RUN FAX100;PARM=%100000
D202 0:00.189 WAIT J1572 1038 :RUN FAX200;PARM=%000000
The '-i' in the /bin/grep command ignores the case.
Depending upon your system load/type the 'showproc' can take a few seconds
to complete, so if you don't need to see jobs but only sessions you can
shorten it by specifying "showproc jobs=@s > $newpass".
