Oh, and for the rekord, where in my post did I akkuse you of being a liar?
I simply said you were a zealot (and zealots do tend to ignore facts that
do not support their narrow opinions).

I'm just making fun of you, not to mention something else I find rather
silly about you.

That aside, I'm not necessarily liberal, nor am I conservative if you'd
really like to know the truth. I don't suppose that would interest you
though.

I believe government should be small and only exist to serve and protect
its citizens. Over time, I have changed my views on social welfare and
believe that some sort of it is necessary and gladly pay taxes to support
the needy and indigent.

I believe that people should have as much freedom as possible. I don't
believe in any sort of punishment for what some people would call
"consensual crime" (i.e., ingestion of whatever drugs you want, engaging in
any type of consensual sex with other adults, etc.).

I don't believe in God or anything of the sort. I think religion is
dangerous, and most especially when mixed with governance.

I believe women, people of all colors, men, anybody of any sexual
orientation, are should all be protected by the same laws and treated in
the same way by the government; yet I do not necessarily believe that we
need eqaul rights' bills for every segment of the population. I hate
admitting this, but I do believe that people who own private property and
business have every right to discriminate to their hearts' content; I
believe private property owners should have the ability to decide who can
do what on their property (e.g., smoking cigarettes or disallowing of the
same). I don't believe the government has any interest in such affairs --
yet it does. This is what we like to call "tyranny of the majority," not
democracy.

Exactly what does this make me? A liberal? A left-wing racist? A fiscal
conservative with leftist leanings when it comes to social affairs? Who
cares?

I'm not exactly interested in labels as much as the exchange of ideas. I
don't feel that what I write is necessarily forcing my view of life, or
politics, or anything else for that matter is as much forcing them down
people's throats as expressing myself. I do not get the same feeling from
your posts.

Sorry to say that, but you do strike me as someone who is very intolerant
of those who disagree with you, and you certainly fling insults without
much thought.

Anyway, I didn't mean for this to be personal, but I guess I did start it
-- even though my joke wasn't acknowledged (out of embarassment?).

Too bad. I always thought your excitement about cobol nifty. Turns out
your not very nifty in any other way.

Oh goodness me, the great master of English has at least only compared me
to a baptist minister. Just like a typical liberal, you call everyone a
liar but without any proof of your own. Hindsight is always 20/20 (well it
should be anyway, but the winners write the history). I'm far from a
zealot, I'm only interested in facts, I'm perfectly happy to contest things
Bush has done wrong, I think he is totally wrong on Immigration for
example, but Kerry is the most dangerous man running for President since
Carter.
