In the above case, mpe/ix is like any other FTP server
command like PORT or TIMEOUT.  Just as you get

200 PORT command ok
200 TIMEOUT command ok,

you get

200 MPE/iX command ok, indicating a successful execution of
the command (though, in fact, nothing gets executed).

To my knowledge, "site mpe/ix" command does nothing useful!
