I have a few suggestions:

1) How about turning off the ECHO with SET ECHO=OFF before you send
the command? I think I'll try this on out... It works:
        transmit "set echo=off^M"
        transmit "showjob^m"
The commands still show in the listredo, but you could send commands
to clear that also
2) You may need to use the PJL-SUPPORTED parameter in your NPCONFIG
file. The printers do not seem to support PJL commands (as most newer
HP printers do) so you need to turn it off. MPE assumes your printers
can speak PJL commands.
