I'm confused.

When I hear/read "evaluating our plans for supporting <product>,"
I interpret this as "considering dropping (or at least scaling back)
support and/or development for <product>."

Does CSY have reason to suspect the product is ineffective?
I mean, I sincerely doubt we'll read a similar survey for COBOL
in the next year or two.

(It has been well over a decade since I've been a full-time sys admin,
but I know Predictive was VERY useful then.)

Basically, what I'm looking for is the motivation behind the survey.
