I have been *extremely* satisfied with my JanSport
back pack (laptop option). Very durable, big, easy to
carry and definitely protects my wife's laptop (and mine
when I had one.) It is great for everyday use and for everyday
use or for traveling (fits perfectly underneath the seat in front
of you) and being it is from JanSport, you do have a lifetime
warranty (which I have used, the zipper was broken, and I was very
impressed with the excellent shape it came back in).

For more information (watch for line wrap)
