I have just purchased a brand new HP Laserjet 5N printer and am trying to get it
set up on the network and printing from the HP3000. I have several other
printers that I have done this with and had no problems. This one though,
does not work. I can ping from the 3000 to the internal Jetdirect card. I
can telnet from the 3000 to the Jetdirect. I can print via LPR on an NT
box. When I try to print to it from the 3000, I get the following error:

SNMP error SNMPERR_SENERR reported while retrieving printer status.

I think I remember a previous thread about someone getting this from a
network device that was not a Jetdirect. Of course, the Jetdirect support
people won't even touch it if it isn't using LPR. The JetDirect is HP pard
# J2550B and the firmware revision is a.05.05.

Thanks
