Why it sure it does. I guess I dismissed it after reading the whole article
and knowing that Wind River wrote the embedded stuff. Here they are using
operating system in a non-computer sense: i.e., the system that operates
the rover. Maybe controlling system would have been a better choice of
words.
That said, I do find it quite remarkable that the software very interesting
and this is not a demo applet, it gets real work done. Yes, you can do this
in many programming languages and OSs but I see nothing wrong with Sun
blowing their own horn here.

I have this quirk that I try to be safe about posting too much content and
sticking to some fair-use size. This may lead to some misunderstandings I
see. I'll try to pick the paragraphs better.
