Interesting development: RedHat has based its new database on PostgreSQL 7.1
http://www.redhat.com/products/software/database/

Got me wondering about the 64 bit future with MPE, Unix, NT, and Linux
running on the same box. Looks like Mark's recent port of PostgreSQL to
MPE positions it as a cross OS database for the new machine.

Like many on this list, I am a proponent of IMAGE and would like to see it
survive the merger. Would IMAGE benefit by exposing APIs to the other
OS's ? What about bringing IMAGE/SQL in line with current SQL standards ?
Any other ideas ?
