Jeff Kell,
Tom Brandt points out:
>You can always go to http://raven.utc.edu/archives/hp3000-l.html, select
>the "change settings" link and uncheck the OT topic.
More specifically:
http://raven.utc.edu/cgi-bin/WA.EXE?SUBED1=hp3000-l&A=1
Is there something about this that doesn't work?
I recall the meeting of SIG leaders where we agreed to ask Jeff to set this
up. (Kudos to Jeff for offering to do it)
The topic-code categories we agreed to establish were:
Administrivia
Cobol
Cs
Image
Java
Mpe
Ot
Posix
Sql
Sysman
Web
It seems to me therefor that we fixed Gavin's S/N ratio problem with a
"noise" filter. For the most part people seem to be using the codes. In
particular I observe almost %100 compliance with the "OT" code. To extend
Gavin's metaphor I hear what seems to me to be noise but I'm not catching
the signal. It there something that I am missing here?
P.S. What category should this message come under? IMO "OT" is
inappropriate.
