Hi again all,
On Thanksgiving day I update my MP3000/987 running 4.0 with an Allbase G.0
SUBSYS tape. During the UPDATE I got some message telling me that I didn't
have the full Allbase/SQL product -- only IMAGE/SQL. That's strange because
I've had the full Allbase product --and been paying software support on it
-- since sliced bread; in fact I've got one native Allbase DBE with about
600 MB of data in it.
I placed a RC call and was told that the message was bogus --- that I really
did have the full Allbase product.
I attempted to create an Allbase database today and received the message:
GRANT TABLESPACE ON SSFS FILESET NOT ALLOWED (DBERR 3501)
Which indicates that I *do not* have the entire Allbase product -- only
IMAGE/SQL. So now I'm stuck because HP isn't cutting G0.24 tapes for MPE/iX
4.0 any longer. Nor can I go to G1.13 because, even though it's supported
on 4.0, it requires a version of TurboIMAGE that's only supported on 5.0.
HP's sending me a G0.30 patch for 4.0 but I'm not optimistic: I think it
will update my Allbase | IMAGE/SQL | TurboIMAGE version but leave me in the
same straights as to allowing me access to the full Allbase/SQL product.
So, how do I get the full Allbase/SQL product "restored" to my system short
of going to 5.0 -- which I can't do for a while?
Many thanks in advance.
-- Evan
