I thought you might like this article about the Bank of America, which by
the way "merged" (got bought by) a little while back with NationsBank, which
used to be called NCNB (North Carolina National Bank) before merging with
another bank a few years before that.

(BTW, the head office is now in Charlotte, NC.)

Maybe I should move my accounts from Bank Of America before they merge again
or start erasing more deposits. :)

Instead of the commodity business of making printers, a la Walt's vision,

According to marketwatch:

ST. LOUIS (CBS.MW) -- Bank of America Capital Management Inc., the fourth-
largest Hewlett-Packard shareholder, said on Wednesday it plans to vote the
shares it controls against H-P's proposed acquisition of Compaq Computer.

"We did our analysis, looked at it, and decided the deal won't be
beneficial to H-P shareholders," said Joe Fazzino, a BofA spokesman. "It
puts too much of H-P's business in a commodity business, that being PCs."
