Cindee, when I got out of programming school, I was living in San Diego. I
suppose I could write a good post just on the school and how, in order to
know Trigonometry and get a BSCS (yet another post on the relative "value"
of formal education these days) - paying a PhD dropout who was a fellow
student a taco lunch every day for a Trig lesson...

Anyway my first job was for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita Kansas. I lasted
there all of 6 months before being layed off do to a lousy economy. Lasted
the winter and the locals said how well I drove in snow and blizzards (the
locals would tail gate you with 3-4' - no chance of stopping behind you
without damage)

Amway as I remember the area around Topeka, the capital, was hilly - the
more east you go the hillier it got - but this is all 20 years ago. But I
doubt the topography has changed ;-)

I found Kansas to be interesting - I spent some time in "Cowtown" - old
Wichita - and learned that Wyatt Earp wasn't much better than the outlaws. I
think as sheriff he was kicked out of Wichita for doing something - where I
believe he then wandered to Tombstone AZ for his eventual rendezvous with
destiny with the Clampetts at the OK Corral -

But I am wandering today - probably told you more than you wanted to know..
There are hilly areas of Kansas.

Fo anyone who has ever been in Kansas, it is fairly flat, but it does have =
a few rolling hills.
