Actually I found that section in my 1994 printing of the manual on page
119.
There is a one liner in the %BACKG command in the Security/3000 section
that refers you to the %BACKG command in the MPEX/3000 section.
I scanned it and attached it here as a pdf.
(It is understood the attachment will get stripped from the HP3000
listserv copy.)
