I stand corrected, (or slightly modified.)

Yes the difference between Temp and Transient space 
was lost on me.  

And on new NEWVOL command, at least the name is
right next to the LDEV on a REDO, which is probably 
a factor why most shops just change the last two 
characters of the member name to be a one-up number.
