The HP e3000 Business Servers Configuration Guide 9/01 says:

929ks/030 - 1 x  81mhz s/w tier=330
939ks/030 - 1 x 117mhz s/w tier=330
979ks/100 - 1 x 180mhz s/w tier=330
979ks-200 - 2 x 180mhz s/w tier=330

Based on similar cache size/etc of the cpu listings for all these
systems it appears the 929 and 939 are software adjusted from the
full 180mhz of the 979.

There used to be in-chassis upgrades for these systems up to the
979, but I don't think hp is selling them anymore.
