IMAGE: DBUPDATE error -82 (on Eloquence6)

I'm testing on HPUX with Eloquence, calling DBUPDATE with a change to
a search field. I get error -82 back.

This is a first for me. The code checks for error 41 (cannot change critical
item) and does
a DBDEL and DBPUT.

So, what is error -82 (the manual days CIUPDATE is DISALLOWED) and how does
it differ from 41.?
(Maybe Eloquence is returning the wrong code here)

Since I haven't coded for -82, I am assuming that MPE is still giving me the
41 error
(will be testing for this in near future).
