To the Interex Board,

Yesterday, the following was posted to the [log in to unmask]

"I hear that HP has given Interex an ultimatum, either let HP take it over
or it will not recognize Interex as the HP users' group. This means that
if Intererex does not capitulate HP will have only a small booth at
HPWorld and have little to do with it. THIS IS A SHAMEFUL MOVE ON HP's
PART AND ALL MEMBERS OF INTEREX AND OTHERS WHO FEEL THAT INTEREX SHOULD
REMAIN INDEPENDENT SHOULD RAISE A HOWL. It would be better to go down
fighting rather than capitulate. I hope all Interex members and even non
,embers will tell the Interex board that this move on HP's part is
predatory and should be rejected. The time for Acton is NOW before the
Board votes on Tuesday, other wise advocacy for the user, which Interex
stands for goes down the tubes."

After having been the voice of the customer to HP for over 30 years,
that's almost one
half of HP's corporate life, it would be advantageous for the Interex
Board to respond and let the
membership know what is going on.

What were the results of the June 30th survey? Were the results
statistically valid? We, as members
deserve to know, as it is our organization.
