This shows that the error was in your code, not in GENMSG. The code
location in question is sendfuncmsg+$c0.

Please try:

   :run CHATROOM.NMPRG.E3K;XL="XL.PUB.E3K"; debug

   dc sendfuncmsg, d0/4

and send/post the results.

Also, if the SETDUMP run is repeated, when you abort, please try:

   lev 0, 1

   dr

that will show us the registers as they were when the instruction
at sendfuncmsg+$c0 trapped.

thanks!

******* Mime / HTML note ****** (canned text)

BTW, your message came both as plain ASCII and as MIME-encoded HTML.
This can quintuple the network bandwidth (and local storage) needed
by your email. Most email clients let you uncheck/unconfigure
the "send as HTML" option. (Or, it may be selecting a "plain text"
option.)

Some pernicious mail programs quietly revert to HTML mode without telling
you if you start off by replying to a message that came in HTML mode.
In some, you may notice a "rich text" checkbox getting turned
on ... for those, you can usually unselect that.

Some mail programs quietly switch to HTML mode if you attempt to
do any of: use color, bold, italics, or change fonts, or the size of
the font you're using. In those programs, you just need to avoid
doing those things :)

If you're using Outlook, [Options] takes you to a window with
multiple tabs. The Mail Format tab takes you to a window with
a "Mail Format" (?) pick list... "Plain Text" is the option you want.

If you're using AOL, good luck :) From what I've read, AOL versions
higher than 4.x make it very difficult to send mail nicely.

If you're using Windows, and if your mail program is using POP or
SMTP or IMAP to get/send mail, you might want to look at the excellent
free mail program, Pegasus, available at www.pmail.com (Windows only, sorry).
