Mr. Adept, I disagree totally.  The IBM web site is replete with all sorts
of information about what is happening in their labs.  I have spent many
hours reading about technology at their website.  Where Apple claims to have
invented everything WRT to computers, IBM did invent a lot of technology and
continues to invent new things and they write about it.
