Hi,
am I correct in assuming a 2563 does not need an environment file to print
through a jetdirect box?
The printer is printing compressed and is not using an environment file. I
tried lp.hpenv.sys, which prints ok, but prints garbage at the beginning of
the print.
npconfig entries are:-
pjl_supported = false
jam_recovery = false
snmp_enabled = false
data_timeout = 30
It is a little difficult to diagnose, as the printer is off site, and the
person at the other end is not HP savvy

We have a 2567 hooked up the same way, configured as follows.
12 (network_address = NNN.NN.NNN.NN # Comp Rm HP2567B line pntr
pjl_supported = false
poll_interval = 3
banner_header = true
jam_recovery = false)
The global setup file that works fine is
!&l2a0o6D!&k0S replace the "!" with escape.
