An early bulletin on today's success of the HP 3000 Poster Project can be
found at the 3000 NewsWire's Web site:

includes a digital picture taken about two hours ago from the helicopter
chartered for the event.
 
The poster was completed on schedule and within budget, two things often
accomplished with the HP 3000. Many thanks to the more than 100 volunteers
and spectators at the Loara High School football field. For those of you in
the Southern California area, the Long Beach Press Telegram and the Orange
County Register both sent photojournalists to record the proud moment for
the HP 3000. Also, two video crews, including one from HP's Reel World TV
show cablecast here at HP World, recorded the world record.
