Reality isn't generally all that easy to figure out, either. Most often, the
only differences between humor and reality lie in the eye of the beholder.
However, as Blaise Pascal wrote in 1670, about those who make light of items
of importance: "A jester is an evil character."
Or as Thomas Fuller wrote in 1732, "Where you see a jester a fool is not far
off."
