My initial reaction is that the Hp3000/Model 12.00R20 could very well
be the low cost '908 that has been discussed so much lately.  At a
price of only $375.65 + $41.26 FET, it appears to be just what us
"poor" developers have been looking for.  It's not clear whether this
price includes a "developer kit" and SQL/Image, but perhaps one of
the HP marketeers could furnish us with more details. The only thing
that bothers me is that it is a "Tube" design. With the skyrocketing
price of 12AT7s these days, it might me safer to go with one of the more
expensive "Tubeless" models (2N404s perhaps?).  It isn't clear whether
"Tubes" are covered under the lifetime "hazard" warranty............
