Since my wife and my 3 1/2 year old have started fighting over time on their
shared PC, (each has their own partition), I decided to buy the wife a new
machine.
I picked up an HP Pavilion 6630 and fired it up. Now, as this PC is designed
for the technically challenged home user, I was not too suprised to find the
documentation limited to which button to push to turn it on. But, I figured
a quick trip to the HP web site would get me the additional info I needed.
WRONG!

I have never seen such a useless collection of FAQ's and 1 paragraph
summary's of general PC info before. Even when I followed a link to the
motherboard and jumpers page, it tells you that the motherboard for this PC
can vary depending on the processor it has. The processor can be either a
celeron or a PII.... thanks for playing, not even a rough diagram of the
motherboard.
You would think a simple topic on configuring or disabling the onboard
video, (which is of the type that uses system memory), would not be that
difficult to find. But I do not think I even saw the video mentioned
anywhere in the documentation or on the web site.
After an hour on hold to their tech support line... I gave up.

Anyway, just a word of warning to anyone buying an HP PC. Do not assume that
you will have access to documentation or support.
