People should keep in mind that even if you have not upgraded off of 5.5,
your 3000 will not turn into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight on January
1st (as we finally enter the new millennium).

I believe that the Response Center will still take support calls on 5.5 and
perform reasonable escalations for something like six months after the "end
of support" date.  So if you can't get the tapes in time, or don't want to
spend your holidays "watching" tapes spin (remember when you could actually
*see* the tape?), then you can relax because the world won't come to an end
even if you wait until early in the new year to perform the migration.

But don't procrastinate too long, because eventually the RC *will* stop
accepting support calls for 5.5.
