I agree that the SolSym should do a topic on VA technology for the HP3000. There are issues with using the VA technology on older systems that cannot take advantage of direct fiber.
I disagree that LUN technology is new for the HP3000 though. EMC has had a foothold with many HP3000 shops dating back to 1997. I have seen many Amisys sites use them as part of an overall SAN technology as well as other HP3000 sites.
If HP is listening they should post an e-mail on how to get to the white papers that were to be completed on how the technology is set up for the HP3000 systems using direct fiber.
