Andreas,

More than likely it is the encrypted passwords from NT (also WIN95 OSR2
and later patches) that are not being accepted by Samba/iX. Take a look
at this www page for how to revert back to the clear-text style:

Subject: [HP3000-L] Samba/iX and Windows NT Workstation 4.0

Having now also Windows NT WS 4.0 on my PC to test the LaserRX replacement
MeasureWare/PerfView for NT,
I'm not able to map the password protected Samba/iX ressources on my HP3000
via Windows NT Explorer.
I do not know how to answer the "connect as" box in the right way, and my
passwords for the MPE account/user are not accepted. It works fine via
Win95, but WinNT seems to handle this different.
