we had the same problem!

There are two tricks to change this behaviour:

* change in /etc/sendmail.cf the Dj information from
Dj$w.mydomain.FR
to
Djmydomain.FR

* use one of the commandfiles to specify the REPLY-TO address to ensure that a
correct eMail address to reply to is used. These (updated) Commandfile can be
found on http://www.hillschmidt.de/gbr/ and select within the HP3000 articles
the on for eMail on HP3000.

Our site uses both.

hello,

I'm trying to send an e-mail from my hp 3000 through mailx and sendmail.
It does work except one little problem : the from part of my message
have to be something like [log in to unmask] I tried the -r option of
mailx, but all I have is [log in to unmask]
