What timing! The November issue of Macworld magazine (actually,
a column from the combined MacUser) explains how, with
MS Internet Explorer, a user can select Adager with as
few keystrokes as they can select 3k Associates. (With
a few caveats... ;)
The key is a feature called Autofill, present in MS IE 3.01 and later.
They say:
"All someone has to do is bookmark your page in IE (Command-D
[on the Mac]), highlight the bookmark's name in the Favorites
list, and press Command-I [likely Alt-D and Alt-I, respectively,
under Windows].
"Once you've entered a unique name such as Billybob in the Name
field of the Favorites dialog box, whenever you want to revisit
Billybob's homepage you can either pick it from the list of
Favorites or simply start typing the word Billybob in IE's
address field. After you've typed a letter or two, the Billybob
site will leap into the address field."
This sounds basically like how Quicken works, as it guesses
to whom you're writing that cheque.
So, if you have no other favourite URL's beginning with A, then
Adager can be selected with a single keystroke. (This is unlikely,
with the presence of Allegro. :) And chances are even greater that
you'll have no other URL's beginning with 3 besides 3k, so I guess
they win again!
FWIW.
