Interesting. The list server stripped the "To:" addresses and changed the
"Cc:" to a "To:" This has made it appear this message was primarily to the
list when it was not.

To avoid any confusion, this message was in fact "To:" Interex (both BOD and
membership). The HP3000 list was only "Cc:" to inform you what I was doing
(if you so care).

I do in fact recognize the HP3000 discussion list has nothing to do with
Interex membership. I am sorry for any confusion the change in reported
addressing imposed by the list server may have caused.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Interex Membersip Cancellation

After careful consideration over the past week, I have decided I must
immediately cancel my membership in Interex. Please cancel all publications
and notices which I receive from Interex. Please send no further renewal
requests. No renewal will occur.

The implication in the announcement below that the Interex Board of
Directors was representing Interex members in their decision is false and
misleading. I recognize the Interex Board of Directors needed to make a
decision on how to vote the shares of HP stock it owns. While it was
appropriate for the Interex BOD to make decisions on financial matters such
as this, it was totally inappropriate for the BOD to issue a press release
implying the Interex membership as a whole supported the
Hewlett-Packard/Compaq merger.

With this press release, Interex has misrepresented my interests. As an
Interex member, I feel the Interex Board of Directors fraudulently
represented me as being in support of the Hewlett-Packard/Compaq merger. In
fact I strongly oppose this merger. Any statement to the contrary that I as
an Interex member I instead support the merger is completely false and
misleading.

I can not continue in membership with any organization which falsely
represents me to this degree.

My own personal basic membership may not amount to much. However, I also
fully intend to pursue recommendations to all the HP clients I represent to
drop their site memberships in Interex.

The details of the Interex membership I wish to cancel follows:

Membership ID number: 226412.
