in my experience, i've found that mpe/ix is very sensitive to defragmentation.
i run a defrag job on my big box once a week. without it, i'll begin seeing
performance problems. right now (since i have plenty of cpu) it's negligible.
however, if you're pushing your cpu -- defragging with get you some horsepower
back....not much but it'll certainly make a difference. - d
